The Bold and the Beautiful

I have discovered that I am the father of a 3 month old baby. Her name is Stephanie Hampton James. It was confirmed several weeks ago that she is indeed my daughter. My name is listed on her birth certificate. Richard and I are surpried and overjoyed. I never thought I would find myself in this situation, but we are proud and excited to be parents.

Stephaine is not living with Richad and I now, but she will join Richard and I when we make our home. She has full Dominican and American citizenship, I have seen to that.

Here are some recent pics of her. Happy Thursday, next week may be my last post, it will contain one last surprise. She is so precious, she smells like cotton candy.

May Sweeps

This is very hard for me to write. I have so much to stay and only a little time to say it. I have several announcements to make. Some will find them joyous and some will find them depressing. I have decided I can't unload everything in one post, so I will post an announcement over the next 3 weeks, on Thursdays.

Number One
May 31, 2007 will mark the last post of "The Byron of Santo Domingo". After one year of writing about my drama and the Dominican Republic, it will all come to an end. As I look back at the many posts and pictures I am melancholy about this decision, but it needs to be made. I have appreciated your many posts and comments on my writings. I have learned many things about you, your experiences in this country, and myself. I have met many of you during my tenure at Casa New Yorker, but a lot of you I have not met. I hope we get to cross paths in the future.
I hope my words have informed and entertained becasue that was my intention. You will hear from me again on Thursday, for announcement Number Two.
Be well.
Byron

April Showers Bring May Flowers

I know I said I would have an announcement on May 1, but some things popped up. Monday was a holiday here in DR so all government offices and business' were closed. On Tuesday, their was a public car strike and I could not get around the city in a timely fashion, so things were pushed back. Please be patient with me, I promise to have some news for you soon.

I have been receiving many emails speculating about my announcement. Rest assured my health is fine and my relationship is better than ever. Give me just a few more days.
